Red Cross Swim Lessons

Registration for Swim Lessons (Summer of 2025) is NOW OPEN

Join us at the Plainville Town Pool (Everett W Skinner Pool) located at 142 South Street, Plainville, MA 02762 for Swim Lessons on weekday mornings this summer (2025). We welcome beginners starting at 4 years old as well as older children looking to learn and improve different strokes!

All Swim Lessons are taught by American Red Cross/YMCA (WSI) with Water Safety Instructor certifications.

Swim Lessons are offered in one-week sessions (5 total lessons per week) which meet Monday through Friday. Lessons are scheduled between 8:00AM and 12:00PM rain or shine! Lesson times will be scheduled as each session fills based on the number of participants signed up for each level. We will Email you the week prior to your session to notify you of your child's lesson times for their upcoming swim lessons.

Classes are limited in size. Pre-school and Level 1 groups will have up to 6 children per class. Levels 2 to 6 will have up to 8 children per class.

Preschool and Level 1 - $75, 5 Lessons per session - 30 minutes each class

Levels 2 to 6 - $80, 5 Lessons per session - 40 minutes each class

Swim Lesson Dates

  • Session 1: June 23rd to June 27th 
  • Session 2: June 30th to July 3rd * (NO CLASS on Friday 7/4) $10 discount for Session/week 2 ONLY *
  • Session 3: July 7th to July 11th
  • Session 4: July 14th to July 18th
  • Session 5: July 21st to July 25th
  • Session 6: July 28th to August 1st 
  • Session 7: August 4th to August 8th 
  • Session 8 (Last week): August 11th to August 15th

Evaluations are required by any child who did not take swimming lessons with us prior! (Just to ensure we place your child in the correct swim class). Evaluation times are to be determined and scheduled with the Plainville Park & Rec Department. 4-year-olds will automatically be placed in the preschool-level class.

Registration / Payments

Registration for Swim Lessons at the Plainville Town Pool begins on Wednesday May 2nd, 2025! Registration is not final until we receive your payment. If your child has taken swim lessons with us before, please include the level your child should be in and the swim week(s)/session(s) you would like to register them for.
