After-School Basketball

2025 Program is CLOSED!!!

Join the Plainville Park Department for the chance to learn, improve, and enjoy the sport of basketball. Children will play a variety of games on dribbling, passing, shooting and more! This program will also incorporate actual basketball game scenarios in a team setting.

  • Grades 3,4, 5 and 6: Wednesdays (November 12th to December 10th), 3 to 4:30 pm. $50. Wood School Gym. (4 weeks.) No program November 26th early release.
  • Kindergarten: Tuesdays (November 18th to December 12th), 3 to 4:30 pm. $50. Jackson School Gym. (4 weeks.) Program starts a week later because 11/11 is Veteran's Day.
  • Grade 1 and 2: FULL/CLOSED (November 13th to December 11th), 3 to 4:30 pm. $50. Jackson School Gym. (4 weeks.) No program November 27th Thanksgiving..

The programs meet immediately after school at the Jackson School gym for grades Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd. On Wednesday’s will be at the Wood School gym for grades 3 & 4. Mondays, for grades 5 & 6. All children participating MUST be registered through the Park Department.  Do not call or send money to the school!!  Payments should be received by the FIRST day of the program. Please note that the after-school programs do not meet on days when school is not in session or on early release days for in-service, conferences, or inclement weather. The Park Department provides all the equipment

Registration / Payments

Registration and Payment can be done online or in person at the Park Department Office!

If you or your child after registering have decided not to participate PLEASE let us know prior to the first day. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AFTER THE PROGRAM STARTS. Once the program has started and you have not paid you will still be liable for the amount due.

Registration runs from October 1st to October 31st. Space is limited, and all programs are first-come, first-serve! Capacity limit of max # of 30 children per age group. Registrations will go in order in which we receive them for the attendance rosters. 

Payment can be made at the Park Department office, dropped in the lock box outside the recreation office or can be mailed to: Plainville Park Department, P.O. Box 1717, Plainville, MA 02762 or you can pay through City Hall Systems online. Payments should be received by the first day of the program!
