Senior Center
The Plainville Senior Center serves as a recreational and social services resource to seniors 60 years and older and disabled persons. The center's mission is to enhance and promote the best quality of life for elders from Plainville and surrounding towns. The center provides many programs, including social, nutritional, legal, financial, health, fitness, mobility, educational, and safety. The center acts as a resource for daily exercise, meals-on-wheels distribution, transportation, art workshops, benefits counseling, veterans' advocacy, and intergenerational programs.
- How do I sign up for trips?

- Trips are being offered by The Friends of Plainville Seniors organization.
- The contact for the trips are volunteers Pat Bishop and Nancy Chapman.
- Trip brochures and flyers are posted at the senior center.
- Payments and inquiries should be directed to Pat Bishop at 508-699-7384 X13.
- Do I have to live in Plainville to participate in the programs?

Seniors are welcome from all of the surrounding communities. Some programs have Plainville seniors priority sign-up. The out-of-town guests can be added to a waiting list. Call or stop by the center with questions.
- How do I sign up for the senior bus?

The Plainville Senior bus is available to Plainville seniors and disabled citizens for doctor appointments, shopping, banking, and errands during the hours of 9 am to 2:30 pm (doctor appointments must be scheduled no later than 1 pm). Please fill out the form on GATRA's page or contact the center.
