MINUTES
January 15, 2008
Meeting was called to order at 7:15 PM.
Present: Dave Bois, Melanie Powley, Dan Robillard & Maureen Dunfey.
Motion by M.P. to accept the minutes of December 18th. Second by D.B.
The certified letter sent to Artistic Irrigation was returned unclaimed. M.D. to send the certified letter to Allied Management Corp. in Rhode Island.
The meter was never installed at the Ballfield. M.D. will contact National Grid and request that it be done soon.
The signup for the Arts & Crafts class went well. We have 19 children signed up. They are mostly kindergarteners and some first and second graders.
The budget is due in the Selectman’s office by Jan. 31st. They are asking us to present a budget which will maintain services.
The Year end Report is also due in mid February. I have printed out a copy for the commission. Let me know if you would like to add anything by our next meeting.
The new camera has been installed on the front of the building.
M.P. suggested we survey parents at the end of our programs to get feedback.
We received a bill from Simply Safer for fertilizing the town park. The board would like to get quotes from 3 companies for the job. M.D. will call for quotes.
M.D. would also like to hire a clerk to handle office work, registrations and the collection of money during busy times. M.D. to put together a schedule of weeks that clerk will be needed, she will also check with J. Fernandes whether or not they need to be placed on payroll or if funds can be taken from the park revolving account.
M.D. to check with PYSL about fee for use of field during the spring. They will be using the field for approximately 30 hours.
M.D. was contacted by Kelly Miller Circus to see if we would be interested in sponsoring a Circus in June.
The next meeting will be held February 5th at 7:00 pm.
