Red Cross Swim Lessons & Pool Membership
Summer 2011
The Plainville Park Department Swim Lessons are taught by American Red Cross Certified Life Guards. Lessons are offered daily in 2 week sessions to children four years old and older.
Lessons are scheduled between 8:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. rain or shine. Lesson times will be scheduled as each session fills and we will call you at least one week before the session begins to notify you of your time.
Classes are limited in size. Preschool and Level 1 will have up to 6 children per class. Levels 2 - 6 will have up to 8 children per class.
Preschool Class – (Session 1 only)
8 to 10 Lessons (30 minutes each) $50/session
Preschool Class (Session 2, 3, 4)
6 lessons (30 minutes each) $30/session
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday’s
Level 1 Class – 8 to 10 lessons (30 minute each) $50
Level 2 – 6 8 to 10 Lessons (40 minutes each) $60/session
Resident Swim Lesson Signup:
If your child took lessons last summer and you are a resident you can signup online beginning Wednesday, June 1 st. Registration is not final until we receive your payment. You must include the level your child should be in and the session you would like to signup for. Call ahead for Walk-in registration times
If your child has not taken lessons before or if it has been more than a year you must have them evaluated. The only exception is 4 year olds who do not need an evaluation. They will be placed in a preschool class.
Evaluations for residents will be held on June 20th and 21st from 4 to 7 p.m at the pool. Please call the park at (508) 695-5451 after June 1st to schedule an evaluation for your child.
Non-Resident Swim Lesson Signup:
Non-residents that took lessons last year may signup on June 22nd from 1 to 7 p.m. Evaluations for non-residents will also be held on June 22nd from 1 to 7 p.m. at the pool. Please call the park at (508) 695-5451 after June 1st to schedule an evaluation for your child.

INTRO TO SWIM TEAM (NEW)
This class will prepare you for competitive swimming. Endurance, technique and perfecting your stroke will be the main criteria that will be stressed. If you are thinking of going out for the swim team or want to try competitive swimming, this class will be a great introduction.

Everett W. Skinner Pool

unlimited use during pool hours for only $150. That’s only $15 per week!
Pool Hours:
The pool will be open from June 20– August 26
Monday–Friday Pool Hours: 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday Pool Hours: 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Summer Membership:
Residents: $150 family membership
Non-residents: $200 family membership
Daily Fees:
Residents: $10/family; $5/person
Non-residents: $15/family; $10/person
Weekday Evening Swim: 4 to 6 pm $5/family; $2.50/person
