The following street lights WILL REMAIN ON in the Town of Plainville. As announced at the Board of Selectmen meeting on Monday, March 23, 2009 the Town will shut off the majority of its' streetlights almost immediately as a cost-saving measure in light of current budget restrictions. National Grid does allow anyone who wishes to "sponsor" a streetlight to keep it lit for a cost of $90.00 to $137.00 per year depending on the wattage of the light.
